In Person Worship with Guidelines
Updated March 2022
Continuing to abide by the CDC and IDPH guidelines, masks are no longer required for indoor gatherings. Those with cold or flu symptoms, or a recent known exposure, should continue to wear masks.
The service remains somewhat modified, reducing the length of the service, and reduced movement/physical interaction.
What follows is for historical purposes.
For the summer of 2021, we gather outdoors for Sunday morning worship, at 9am. If weather does not permit being outdoors, we will worship inside, with masks on, and social distancing.
As long as the recommended gathering size for our region remains at 50 or above, there is no need to make a reservation. We do ask that every person in attendance abide by the guidelines set out by the CDC, IDPH, and Ogle County Health Department. Including, but not limited, to the following:
· Wear a mask and have it on before entering the building. Young children unable to wear a mask need to stay with their households.
There are extra masks available if you forget yours at home, just not enough for everyone.
· Do not enter the building if you have a temperature of 100°F, a new cough, trouble breathing, or any other cold and flu symptoms. COVID19 symptoms can also be gastrointestinal and can include anosmia (no sense of smell).
· Sanitize your hands upon entry and as often as you see fit after that.
· Seating is spread 6’ apart on the south room of the sanctuary, and 3' apart in the north room.
Northside: Only sit in pews which have cushions.
Southside: Chairs are clustered and spaced. Please sit in a cluster of chairs appropriate for your household*. Do not move any of the chairs.
· Please do not hug or shake hands with anyone outside your household.
· Nothing will be passed.
Attendance will be taken by photograph.
The offering plate will be near the entryway.
· Please forgive the mess and strangely placed tables and wires!
· Please do not linger in the entryway, coffee room, etc.
· There won’t be designated greeters, ushers to dismiss you, or receiving line afterward. Council members and I will guide and answer questions.
That’s all you need to know for regathering indoors. If you’d like to know more, check your e-mail for the expanded version of this notice!
God's peace,
Pastor Andrew
